Verbrec secures $16 million in new Energy Security contracts
• Verbrec has executed an agreement to undertake the engineering, procurement and
construction of in-line inspection facilities on a Queensland gas pipeline, valued at $6.8
million.
• Verbrec awarded pipeline, compression and operations contracts QLD, NT, VIC, SA and
WA, valued at approximately $7.2 million.
• Verbrec’s fully owned subsidiary, Alliance Automation has secured electrical, control
system and cyber security for operating asset awards with key energy companies in
Queensland with a combined value of approx. $1.6 million.
• Verbrec completes Biomethane Potential Study for the Department of Primary Industries
and Regional Development (WA).
Verbrec Limited (ASX : VBC) (Verbrec or the Company) today provides a business update and
a summary of recent contract awards.
The projects in this announcement, along with the previously announced Bi-directional project
for Power & Water Corporation1 culminate in over $36 million in Energy Security project awards
since the commencement of the financial year. Taken as a whole, these awards span seven
clients across Queensland, South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia, the Northern Territory
and Papua New Guinea.
Verbrec plays a vital role in delivering the infrastructure underpinning Australia’s energy
security.
AEMO's 2026 Gas Statement of Opportunities forecasts gas shortfall risks under extreme peak
day demand conditions in southern Australia from 2029, with additional supply needed in most
scenarios from 2030, as production from legacy southern fields continues to decline. New
production, storage and transportation investment is required. 2
Australia's gas system is entering a period of sustained reinvestment. A key example is the
Beetaloo Sub-basin. The Northern Territory Government describes the Beetaloo as a world-class
resource with the potential to generate over $17 billion in economic value over the next two
decades through royalties, employment and business growth. 3
Beetaloo Basin gas powered data centre projects could attract up to $40 billion in private
investment. The development of Beetaloo Basin gas fields has helped trigger data centre
proposals from as many as a dozen proponents considering a range of locations near Darwin
and in other remote regions in the Territory. The Northern Territory government has publicly
supported a gas fuelled tech and data centre industry. 4
Verbrec is uniquely positioned to address this market trend. Verbrec's core business across
Australia and the Pacific is to deliver services across the full life cycle of energy infrastructure
and assets. The company provides engineering, construction, operations and maintenance
services for critical energy and gas infrastructure assets. Through our fully owned subsidiary,

Alliance Automation, the group provides intelligent automation and cyber security services for
this critical infrastructure.
Verbrec's pipeline teams have been involved in the installation of thousands of kilometres of
oil, gas, water and slurry pipelines and associated infrastructure across Australia, New Zealand,
PNG and the Pacific.
Verbrec awarded $6.8 million in line inspection and bypass project
Verbrec has entered into a Works Agreement to undertake the engineering, procurement
and construction of the facilities required for the first in-line inspection of a 150KM pipeline in
southern QLD.
Verbrec’s scope covers detailed engineering design, procurement, fabrication and
construction of a bypass line and of pig launcher and receiver facilities across three sites.
Verbrec will then undertake cleaning, gauging and intelligent pigging runs to analyse and
assess the internal condition of the pipeline.
The contract has a fixed lump sum value of $6.8 million, with the works set to be completed
by 31 March 2028.
The pipeline is operated under a multi-year operations & maintenance contract, further
establishing the importance of this contracting model to Verbrec’s continued growth and
success.
Verbrec awarded $8.8 million in other key energy security projects
• Verbrec appointed owners engineer for critical pipeline projects ($2.7m). Verbrec has
entered into a Services Agreement to act as Owner’s Engineer for the EPC phase of a
pipeline realignment construction project in South Australia.
As Owner’s Engineer, Verbrec acts in the client’s interests across the full delivery of the
works. This includes reviewing and assuring multi-discipline design, participating in safety
and hazard workshops, witnessing factory acceptance testing, providing part-time site
surveillance through an anticipated 14-month construction phase.
• Verbrec operations & maintenance contracts. Annual maintenance services in NT / QLD
and extended operations contract in Victoria ($3.2m). Verbrec has received contracts to
undertake reactive maintenance works in NT and QLD and has signed an agreement
extending operations and maintenance of four pipelines in Victoria for two years.
The services include pipeline surveillance and patrolling, cathodic protection system
monitoring and maintenance, coating surveys, management and supervision of third party
works, easement maintenance, engineering services and basic pipeline repairs.
Verbrec operates over 2,000km of gas pipelines across Australia. The Company’s
operations and maintenance contracts are multi-year recurring revenue streams for
Verbrec.
• Alliance Automation provides electrical, control system and cyber security for key energy
utilities and asset owners ($1.6m). The projects include an operational technology cyber
security uplift programme, design, supply and control system engineering of the motor
control centre and migration of SCADA system for Roma based gas assets.
Alliance Automation is a turn-key, whole of life-cycle provider of operational technology
cyber security solutions. Cyber security uplift work of this nature is recurring, as regulatory
obligations and the threat environment continue to evolve, and the Company is well
placed to be awarded further works that flow from these programmes.

• Verbrec starts early-stage design on compression and pipeline projects in WA ($1.3m). The
initial scope includes detailed design, pipeline license advice, environmental studies and
landholder access and liaison works for projects in the mid-west region of Western Australia.
Verbrec is well placed to support the client as an owners engineer in future stages of this
project.
Verbrec completes Biomethane Potential Study for the Department of Primary Industries and
Regional Development (WA)
The Western Australian Biomethane Potential Study is set to be published by the Department of
Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD), Government of Western Australia.
Verbrec is the lead author of the study, responsible for the engineering, techno-economic
assessment and energy transition strategy, working alongside Northmore Gordon and Oakley
Greenwood.
The study assesses how much renewable gas Western Australia could produce from its own
waste, sewage and crop residues, what that resource is worth, and what is required for the first
projects to be built.
This builds on Verbrec’s established record in the sector, including engineering and
construction support to Clarus’ First Renewables for New Zealand’s Broadlands Biogas
Upgrade, the first facility of its kind in New Zealand, and the detailed feasibility study for a new
Auckland biogas facility announced in H1 FY2026.
Verbrec is well placed to be the engineering partner of choice as the renewable gas sector
scales across Australia and New Zealand.
